Lighthouse Psychology are key providers in the field of personal injury rehabilitation and particularly, the preparation of personal injury assessments. Referrals are accepted from insurance companies, rehabilitation specialists, solicitors and from the client themselves where private litigation is being undertaken.

The comprehensive psychological assessment process employs a combination of formal psychometric testing and diagnostic interview. Pre-accident psychological history and impact on current functioning are investigated, treatment recommendations made and overall prognosis given. We will normally see a claimant three weeks after receiving instructions and reports are available two weeks after seeing the client.

In the case of disability or physical injury it is possible for the consultant to visit the claimant in the home. Lighthouse Psychology are able to complete the treatment in the home in certain circumstances. In the case of children under ten, they are assessed by a child psychologist in the presence of a parent or guardian. A separate interview is undertaken with the parent.
